Steve Jobs was a visionary entrepreneur and iconic figure in the world of technology and design. He was born on February 24, 1955, in San Francisco, California. His biological parents, Joanne Schieble and Abdulfattah Jandali, put him up for adoption, and he was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs. Jobs grew up in Mountain View, California, where he developed an early interest in electronics and technology.
Jobs attended Reed College in Oregon but dropped out after one semester, though he continued to audit classes that interested him, such as calligraphy. In 1976, Jobs co-founded Apple Computer with Steve Wozniak in his parents' garage. The company quickly gained popularity with the release of the Apple II, one of the first successful mass-market personal computers.
In 1985, after internal conflicts and a power struggle within Apple, Jobs left the company. He founded NeXT, a computer company that focused on high-end, innovative systems. NeXT's technology would later be integral to the development of Apple's macOS operating system.
Jobs also acquired The Graphics Group, later known as Pixar Animation Studios, in 1986. Under his leadership, Pixar produced groundbreaking films such as Toy Story and became a major player in the animation industry.
In 1996, Apple acquired NeXT, bringing Jobs back to the company he co-founded. As CEO, Jobs revitalized Apple, introducing iconic products such as the iMac, iPod, iPhone, and iPad.
